Job summary

Shannon & Wilson, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced CAD Manager to lead our CAD team in a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will oversee drawing production, enforce standards, and support engineering projects across offices.

Qualifications include a 7+ year CAD background with leadership, strong AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation skills, and familiarity with GIS and 3D modeling. The role requires travel to support other offices and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of CAD design experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation, with AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.
Familiarity with CAD standards, GIS data, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the CAD design team, providing technical guidance and evaluations.
Develop and maintain company CAD standards and templates across programs.
Coordinate with engineers, scientists, PMs, and field staff to deliver drawings on time.
Oversee creation of site plans, geologic profiles, cross sections, grading plans, and instrumentation layouts.
Prepare construction plan sheets per client CAD standards for larger plan sets.
Produce drawings using GIS data, 3D modeling, and point cloud processing.
Ensure QC and consistency across all CAD deliverables.
Manage timelines and delegate drafting tasks by workload.
Collaborate with IT to maintain CAD software, file storage, and hardware.
