Shannon & Wilson, an employee-owned engineering firm in Seattle, seeks a CAD Manager to lead the CAD team. You will oversee drawing production, set standards, and ensure quality while supporting multiple projects and offices.

Qualifications

Degree in CAD/Drafting or related field.
Minimum 7 years CAD design experience, 2+ years in leadership.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation; Civil 3D dynamic elements.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the CAD design team with mentoring and performance evaluations.
Develop and maintain CAD standards and templates.
Coordinate with engineers, scientists, PMs, and field staff for timely drawings and documents.
Oversee creation of figures including site plans, geologic profiles, cross sections, grading plans, instrumentation layouts.
Prepare construction plan sheets per client CAD standards for larger plan sets.
Produce drawings using modeling data, GIS data, gINT and BoreDM exports, 3D surfaces.
Ensure QC and consistency across CAD deliverables.
Manage project timelines and delegate drafting tasks.
Collaborate with IT to maintain CAD software, file storage, and hardware.
Train staff on CAD best practices and new tools.
Follow QA and health & safety policies.
