Job summary

Nova Space Solutions, LLC (NSS) is a joint venture supporting mission critical needs. The Drafter/CAD Operator III prepares complete drawing sets from engineer-provided sketches, including multiple views and assemblies, using AutoCAD and related CAD tools to deliver precise civil, structural, and electrical layouts.

Responsibilities include creating civil/structural construction drawings, coordinating with engineers, and ensuring adherence to CAD standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Two years of vocational training or two years of college with drafting/engineering courses preferred.
Four years of relevant drafting/engineering experience.
US Citizen required for NASA badge.
Proficient in AutoCAD 2D; experience with AutoCAD 3D, BIM/Revit, Civil 3D, or Creo-parametric is a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Must have valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Prepare complete sets of facility and test equipment drawings from sketches and engineer input.
Create civil/structural construction drawings including navigation locks, bridges, levees, and berms.
Lay out plan, profile, and detail appurtenances from multi-discipline designs.
Prepare and revise electrical, mechanical, and structural design drawings.
Draw base/elevation views, sections, and details for commercial/industrial structures.
Coordinate with engineers/Senior Drafters and follow National CAD Standards.
