Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting seeks a Senior CAD Drafter to support facility engineering, construction, and operations in a federal environment. You will produce precise AutoCAD drawings and BIM models, verify field measurements, and maintain master drawings across three campuses.

The role requires experience with AutoCAD and Revit, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required, along with a valid driving license for MO/IL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CAD training or related college coursework or equivalent experience.
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Strong experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and documents.
• Knowledge of facility construction, maintenance, and drafting standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid Missouri or Illinois driver’s license required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Prepare AutoCAD drawings, construction documents, and 3D models for facility projects.
• Interpret CAD files and verify field measurements.
• Develop and update BIM using Revit and related software.
• Maintain master facility drawings, floorplans, and models.
• Incorporate as-built and new construction changes into site drawings.
• Convert historic drawings to electronic formats and manage digital archives.
• Prepare drawings for maintenance, repair, and construction projects.
• Manage documentation and retrieval for three campuses.
• Support permit documentation and ensure technical compliance.
• Communicate site and facility information to project stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to junior drafters and assist with complex tasks.
