Job summary

Horsepower Automotive Group (HPAG) is seeking a CAD Designer Lead at our Chandler, AZ facility to design premium aftermarket components for Ford Raptors, Broncos, Ram TRXs, and more. You will own the design process from concept to production, ensuring manufacturability and aesthetic quality across bold off-road parts.

You’ll create CAD models in SolidWorks, build complex sheet metal and welded assemblies, and collaborate with prototype engineers to move parts into automation and production.

Qualifications

• SolidWorks experience required for CAD design.
• Experience with sheet metal and welded assemblies.
• Proficient in manufacturing drawings and 3+ years CAD design.
• Nice-to-have: automotive aftermarket, 3D scanning, GD&T, fixture design, off-road enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD models in SolidWorks daily from templates or your own designs.
• Build complex 3D sheet metal and tubular assemblies for manufacturing.
• Process 3D scans and create scanned mesh models for new product development.
• Partner with prototype engineering to move products into production.
• Incorporate revision changes and update parts as needed.
