Job summary

Horsepower Automotive Group is seeking a passionate Product Development team member in Oregon to design vehicle components using Solidworks and optimize sheets and weldments. You’ll test prototypes, document results, and work closely with R&D, manufacturing and marketing to turn concepts into market-ready products.

The ideal candidate has Solidworks-driven design experience for metal parts, strong communication, and teamwork, plus familiarity with manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Extensive Solidworks experience.
• 3D modelling and 3D scanning for part prep.
• Technical drawings and weldment knowledge.
• Sheet metal and tube assemblies for manufacturing.
• Strong written and verbal communication; teamwork.
• Manufacturing/fabrication experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop vehicle components.
• Test components in real-world scenarios.
• Identify and resolve engineering challenges; implement corrective actions.
• Create packaging designs and technical drawings for manufacturing.
• Maintain documentation of specifications, changes and tests.
• Stay informed on industry trends and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring products to market.
