Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island seeks an experienced CAD Engineer to create, maintain, and release fluid part assemblies for the Mark 1 vehicle within the Lunar Permanence unit. You will develop CAD models, manage tubing and fittings, and ensure data aligns with specifications and standards.

Responsibilities include interfacing with cross-functional teams, releasing data sets, and applying design methods to balance cost, schedule, and performance with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD/Drafting; 4+ years in aerospace or similar.
• Proficiency with Creo Parametric and Windchill for model generation and release.
• Experience with GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5) and managing large CAD assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design layouts and release data using CAD/PLM tools.
• Focus on tubing, fittings, and mated connections including welding.
• Apply design techniques to plan, layout, and maintain drawings or Model Based Definition.
• Interface with subsystem teams to place fluids hardware in the CAD model.
• Review drawings to align with specs and standards.
• Implement engineering methods balancing cost, schedule, and performance.
