Job summary

Donaldson is seeking a Senior CAD Designer for the Aerospace and Defense department in Bloomington, MN. You will work with engineers and other designers to develop CAD models and drawings that support customer needs.

The role requires knowledge of ASME and ASTM standards, familiarity with sheet metal, machining, casting, and some plastics. Expect to work at least four days per week on-site in Bloomington with development of designs and PPAP/ECN processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma.
• 5+ years in design, drafting, or mechanical roles.
• 3+ years using design/CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global teams to align on design goals and resolve conflicts.
• Develop project plans with milestones and manage risks.
• Create CAD models and drawings to support customers.
• Ensure PPAP/ECN compliance and apply Donaldson standards.
• Lead design reviews and communicate with suppliers.
