Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Lansdale, PA is seeking a Sr CAD Designer to lead CAD design processes, set CAD standards, and provide technical guidance to CAD engineers. The role focuses on complex mechanical layouts, design reviews, and adherence to industry standards, reporting to the leadership team on a 9/80 schedule at Lansdale.

Responsibilities include managing CAD models, collaborating with engineers, and supporting continuous improvement in design processes.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances and ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5.
• Proficiency with CAD software suites and 3D modeling; Creo, SolidWorks or NX; ability to work in a networked Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Generate mechanical layouts and drawings with input from Electrical and Mechanical Engineers; incorporate engineering change orders.
• Liaison between Responsible Engineer and Mechanical Engineer for design layout.
• Prepare parts lists.
• Design with DFM and DFA in mind.
• Manage the creation, revision and release of CAD models and drawings.
• Collaborate in team meetings and activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Create mechanical layouts of moderately complex electronic assemblies and recommend changes.
