Job summary

TECO-Westinghouse seeks a Designer to create complex 3D models, detailed drawings, BOMs, and schematics in line with customer specs and project schedules.

Working with engineers, this role guides Design Technicians and ensures adherence to design standards and product objectives, with <10% travel for installation and measurement activities. A relevant degree or 5 years of related experience is required, along with proficiency in CATIA/SolidWorks and PDM systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred.
• Experience with CATIA or SolidWorks required.
• Experience with SmarTeam or ENOVIA preferred.
• Strong modeling and drawing development experience.

Responsibilities

• Support product development by generating/reviewing models and drawings to determine functionality.
• Check in/out CAD models in the PDM system and ensure team compliance.
• Monitor PDM processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Interpret manufacturing drawings including tolerances and spatial relations.
• Convert concepts into fully developed 3D models with input from engineers.
• Execute tasks according to project schedules and deliver on time.
• Travel <10% to support installation and measurement activities.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
