Job summary

Interplan LLC - National Architects & Engineers in Orlando seeks a Senior Design Engineer to develop high-quality construction documents and CAD drawings. You will support project teams, mentor Design Engineers, and ensure compliance with Interplan standards and building codes.

The ideal candidate brings strong CAD proficiency, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit to coordinate with architects, clients, and consultants. This is an in-office, full-time role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in architecture, engineering, design, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD software and strong technical drawing skills.
• Working knowledge of building codes, permitting requirements, and documentation processes.
• Experience coordinating with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Experience training or mentoring junior design team members.

Responsibilities

• Produce complete, accurate CAD drawings per project direction and Interplan standards.
• Review and redline own work before team reviews.
• Coordinate drawings with architects, consultants, and other disciplines.
• Mentor and support Design Engineers in project work and growth.
• Prepare building department responses and related correspondence.
• Oversee changes from owner and contractor directives.
• Assist with project coordination and administrative tasks.
