Job summary

HDR is seeking a skilled CAD/BIM designer to develop design drawings and construction plans for water and infrastructure projects in Colorado. You will work under a Project Engineer, producing Civil3D/Autodesk-based deliverables and coordinating with multiple engineering teams.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in engineering CAD roles, proficiency in Civil3D or Revit, and strong collaboration skills. The role requires being in the office at least four days weekly in Colorado offices.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Engineering Technology/CAD or 2+ years CAD experience with AutoDesk certification.
• Experience using AutoCAD Civil3D and/or Revit to create design drawings and details.
• Proficient in 3D design software and document management workflows.
• Knowledge of design development and construction documents for water/wastewater and infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop design and construction drawings with direction from a Project Engineer or Project Manager.
• Perform routine CADD/BIM tasks using standardized drafting techniques, annotations, and layer management.
• Create design drawings and initial layouts for water/wastewater/stormwater conveyance systems and site civil plans.
• Assemble plan sets and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines and reference files.
• Learn and apply project/client drafting standards to drawings.
• Work independently to perform redline revisions and develop drawings from sketches.
• Perform basic quantity and geometry calculations.
