Job summary

TEKsystems in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Cable Technician to work with TRI-M Group teams on new construction commercial environments. Responsibilities include pulling, testing and terminating Cat5/Cat6 and possibly fiber, with a focus on customer service and on-site execution.

Ideal candidates have 5 years of cable experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license. The role is contract-based and onsite in Wilmington, DE, with a 40-hour work week and safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of pulling cable, punching down, and connecting Cat5, Cat6 and fiber.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Computer skills and IT/network experience a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal and customer relationship building skills.
• Adaptable to change with flexibility and resilience.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Self-starter and independent.
• Proven troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Pull, test, and terminate Cat5/Cat6 and fiber cabling.
• Work on-site in new construction commercial environments.
• Provide excellent customer service per TRI-M Group methods.
• Commit to full-time schedule roughly 7 am–4 pm.
