Job summary

Logicalis is seeking a Field Cabling Technician to lead a team responsible for installing, modifying, and maintaining voice, data, and video cabling systems under supervision of the Department Manager in Tempe, AZ.

The candidate will survey installation areas, read blueprints, perform site surveys, and ensure all work meets industry standards. Travel to sites and occasional on-call duties are required. An Associate’s Degree and 5 years of cabling experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in related area.
• 5 years cabling experience.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
• BICSI Technician or similar certification.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day planning, operation and problem-solving to ensure team meets required level of service.
• Supervises installation of Structured Cable Distribution Systems.
• Leads efforts in installation of outlets, pulling cable, fire stopping and pre-termination.
• Performs site surveys, reads blueprints and conducts visual site inspections.
• Maintains adherence to safety standards and uses PPE at all times.
• Tests copper and fiber cables to certification parameters and diagnoses issues.
• Maintains knowledge of ANSI, EIA/TIA, BICSI and local codes.
