Job summary

Employnet, Inc. in Fremont, CA seeks an entry-level wire harness assembler focused on soldering and crimping. You will follow SOPs, read drawings, and perform tests as part of a busy electronics manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' work experience related to soldering and crimping in the electronics industry.
• Ability to communicate with manager and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to interpret SOPs, work instructions, drawings and IPC-620 workmanship standards.
• Motivated and detail-oriented with excellent hand dexterity.
• Proficient in basic math skills.
• Good communication and a positive attitude.
• Basic computer skills (database management, word processing and spreadsheets).
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Wire harness assembly experience (1+ years) is highly preferred.
• Read and follow wire harness assembly instructions.
• Cut, strip, crimp, or assemble materials used to produce cable assemblies.
• Work with epoxies and adhesives.
• Route, wire, and assemble electronic components using wire layout boards.
• Operate semi-automatic equipment such as crimp presses, wire twisters and wire strippers.
• Conduct functional and continuity tests of wire harnesses and cable assemblies using test fixtures.
• Use RoHS / Non-RoHS leaded and lead-free solder connections.
• Evaluate mechanical or material issues as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Performs other related duties and assignments; available to work in all areas of production.
