Job summary
Genesiswoodworking seeks an accomplished cabinet maker who can take a rough concept and deliver complete components from start to finish with precision. The role requires deep knowledge of cabinet and furniture construction, CNC programming, accurate measurements and finishes.
The ideal candidate mentors junior staff, leads by example, and ensures projects meet quality standards and deadlines while coordinating with fabrication and shop teams.
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of complex construction and woodworking processes and techniques.
- Expanded knowledge of hardware, adhesives and fasteners.
- Advanced knowledge of other materials (metals, plastics, stone, glass).
- Clear understanding of buildability and longevity in projects.
- Advanced knowledge of CNC machinery and code.
- Willingness to mentor and teach junior employees.
- Leads by example, experience and knowledge.
- Clear understanding of cabinet finishes.
- Master of laminating and veneer.
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
- Proficient in math and geometry.
- Ability to take site measurements.
- Ability to estimate time and duration of projects.
- Ability to lead, guide and educate others in any situation.
