Job summary

Cabinets Company in Shelby Township, MI is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Operator to join our manufacturing team. This full-time, hands-on role requires you to program and operate CNC equipment for cabinet components, interpreting drawings and setting up machines, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has cabinetry, millwork, woodworking, or panel-processing experience and can troubleshoot issues while minimizing waste.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC programming and operating experience.
• Experience with 3-axis CNC routers, nesting equipment, or similar woodworking CNC machinery.
• Cabinetry, millwork, woodworking, or panel-processing experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, dimensions, and production specifications.
• Understanding of CNC tooling and machining processes.
• Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC equipment.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, quality components.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for cabinet components.
• Set up and operate 3-axis CNC routing and nesting equipment.
• Interpret shop drawings, blueprints, dimensions, and production information.
• Determine efficient machining methods, cutting sequences, and material layouts.
• Select and set up appropriate cutting tools for different materials and operations.
• Perform routing, drilling, cutting, dadoing, and other machining operations.
• Load programs and materials and operate CNC equipment throughout the machining process.
• Inspect completed parts for accuracy, dimensions, and quality.
• Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machining issues.
• Make program and machine adjustments when necessary.
• Minimize material waste while maintaining production quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine machine setup and basic maintenance as required.
• Work closely with the production team to keep jobs moving efficiently.

Cabinets Company is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Operator to join our manufacturing team.

This is a full-time, hands-on position for someone who can both program and operate CNC equipment used in cabinet manufacturing. The ideal candidate understands the complete process-from interpreting drawings and creating CNC programs to setting up and operating the machine, checking finished components, and making adjustments when necessary.

Experience in cabinetry, millwork, woodworking, or panel-processing manufacturing is strongly preferred.
