Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Mount Holly, NC is seeking a Senior Painter - Cab Paint to apply high-quality finishes to truck cabs while upholding safety and production standards. The role requires keen attention to detail and experience with industrial painting techniques.

You’ll work in a team, rotate tasks across cab components, and use proper PPE and paint equipment to meet corporate appearance criteria. Relocation not offered; onsite scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must pass paint physical.
• Must pass respiratory physical.
• Must be able to completely apply Topcoat and Clear coat to all parts of truck and meet corporate quality appearance criteria.
• Must be able to climb ladders without restrictions to paint roofs of cabs.
• Must be able to work in Team Environment.
• Must be able to rotate in painting different parts of cabs.
• Must always wear fresh air hood and suit when applying topcoat or working in paint booths.
• Must follow all safety related procedures when disposing of waste and hazardous material.
• Must be able to use required hand tools and paint equipment.
• Must be able to use supplied power tools in assigned task assembly.
• Must be able to key production processes at required pace.
• Complete spot repairs Prep for Paint, blend and clear within cycle time.
• Repair dents, work with Bondo and tiger hair, able to feather out sanded bodywork in cycle time.
• Panel paint within cycle time.
• Tear down and build up painted parts without damage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain attention to detail and consistency in industrial painting techniques.
• Work in a team environment and rotate painting different cab parts.
• Prepare surfaces, blend, and apply topcoat and clear coat within cycle times.
