Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Mount Holly, NC is seeking a Senior Painter (Touch-Up Paint) to ensure trucks leave the line with a flawless finish. The role requires precision, pride in craftsmanship, and a strong eye for detail as you apply topcoat and clear coats and work in paint booths and related areas.

You'll rotate painting different cab parts, wear appropriate PPE, and collaborate in a team to meet cycle times and quality standards while complying with safety procedures and disposal

Qualifications

• Must pass paint physical.
• Must pass respiratory physical.
• Able to apply Topcoat and Clear coat to all parts of truck and meet corporate quality appearance criteria.
• Able to climb ladders to paint roofs of cabs.
• Able to work in Team Environment.
• Able to rotate painting different parts of cabs.
• Must wear fresh air hood and suit when applying topcoat or working in paint booths.
• Must follow all safety related procedures when disposing of waste and hazardous material.
• Able to use required hand tools and paint equipment.
• Able to use supplied power tools in assigned task assembly.
• Able to key production processes at required pace.
• Complete spot repairs.
• Prep for Paint, blend and clear within cycle time.
• Repair dents, work with Bondo and tiger hair, able to feather out sanded bodywork in cycle time.
• Tear down and build up painted parts without damage.
