Job summary
General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Analyst/Engineer to provide life-cycle sustainment, repair, and modernization for shipboard C5ISR electronic and electrical systems aboard U.S. Army watercraft.
You will ensure mission readiness and regulatory compliance across IBS, navigation, and GMDSS systems. You will lead technical repairs, install firmware and software, and train junior engineers while supporting worldwide field operations from Newport News, Virginia.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
- 8+ years of experience in U.S. Army Watercraft Systems marine electronic sustainment repair.
- Experience with C5ISR systems and shipboard electrical/electronic layouts.
Responsibilities
- Provide worldwide field sustainment support for the U.S. Army Watercraft Program, including repair, modernization, and technical management of shipboard systems.
- Perform technical repair and Life Cycle Support (LCS) for C5ISR marine systems per regulations and OEM specs.
- Test, maintain, and repair C5ISR systems and related hardware per senior guidance.
- Install and troubleshoot IBS, Navigation, and GMDSS systems; configure computer systems for radar and ECDIS.
- Lead training of less-experienced teammates and assist with design discussions.
