Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks an Engineering Technician IV to support waterfront shipboard construction and modernization aboard U.S. Naval ships.

Duties include installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and documentation of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment in shipyards and drydocks. The role requires 5+ years of related experience, an Associate degree, and US citizenship.

• Associates of Arts or Science required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, troubleshoots, modifies, constructs and tests electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment and related devices.
• Troubleshoots and corrects malfunctions using specialized test equipment.
• Provides operation/maintenance instruction to customer personnel.
• Prepares operating and malfunction reports and related documentation.
• Works with engineering staff to solve equipment design problems.
