Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory in Ogden, UT seeks an experienced Software Engineer or Systems Engineer for its C4ISR Systems Division. You will work with the U.S.

Government team on advanced Air Force training systems, providing SME input for complex system integration and technical documentation. The role involves collaboration across disciplines, architecture oversight, and ensuring secure, well-tested software designs that align with defense industry practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent
• 8+ years of software and/or systems engineering experience designing complex systems of systems
• Experience with containerized environments
• Fluency in C++, C#, or Java and OO design
• Proficiency with Google Protocol Buffers
• Familiarity with Day 0–Day 2 operations
• Proficiency with SysML (Cameo) and requirements management

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to design, build, and field systems that meet requirements
• Oversee software architecture and multi-level designs for a complex system of systems
• Develop and execute software requirements analysis, test plans, and integration strategies
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies
• Act as SME to the Government customer on designs and integration
• Ensure subsystems integrate with minimal issues and support certification
