Job summary

Tech7 is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the command and control satellite systems in El Segundo. You will drive architecture, integration, and sustainment of mission-critical C2 capabilities and interface with government and industry partners.

The role requires Top Secret clearance, 15+ years of systems engineering leadership, and extensive experience with MILSATCOM or major satellite programs. You will mentor staff and shape technical direction across C2 domains.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
• 15+ years of systems engineering experience with technical leadership.
• 10+ years in satellite command and control, TT&C, or ground segment systems.
• Experience owning baselines, ICDs, and technical artifacts for complex systems.
• Strong knowledge of CCSDS TT&C standards and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C2 system requirements, concepts, and interfaces for spacecraft command, telemetry, and operations.
• Define C2 interfaces between space, ground, terminal, cryptographic, and partner systems.
• Support C2 architectures integration including command generation, telemetry processing, and operator workflows.
• Lead verification methods for C2 functions and anomaly resolution.
• Collaborate across mission operations, cybersecurity, and ground systems teams.
