Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM with 10+ years in space systems engineering.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, RF, ground station operations, and CCSDS packet standards.
• Active TS clearance with in-scope T5/SSBI and SCI eligibility; willing to polygraph.
• SCI and SAP access requirements; willing to undergo Continuous Evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Assist govt mission manager with engineering, integration, and validation of satellite ground segment C2 systems.
• Support contractor development of real-time satellite vehicle operations, LEOP, routine ops, and anomaly resolution.
• Liaise between spacecraft development team and ground operations crew.
• Oversee design and implementation of automation frameworks for ground systems to reduce operator workload.
• Provide recommendations for critical design reviews and contractor documentation for ground infrastructure.
• Architect lights-out operations for multi-satellite constellations.
• Apply Human Factors Engineering to ground control center UIs and operator workflows.
• Implement end-to-end data pipelines for spacecraft payload and telemetry data.
• Develop and review technical assessments and presentations for leadership.
• Generate mission status reports for weekly meetings and program reviews.
