Job summary

Sherpa 6 is seeking an experienced Network Engineer with active Top Secret clearance to support the JIATF 401 C2 Capability Manager. The role focuses on secure C2 network architecture, RMF authorization, and integration of tactical systems across NIPRNet/SIPRNet environments.

You will translate operational requirements into secure, interoperable network designs, lead vulnerability assessments, and coordinate with DoD partners to ensure timely authorization and fielding of trusted capabilities.

Qualifications

Eight+ years of experience in network engineering, C2 systems integration, cybersecurity engineering.
Strong knowledge of DoD networks, C2, and RMF processes.
Ability to translate mission requirements into technical architecture and risk briefs.

Responsibilities

Develop network diagrams, data-flow and authorization-boundary diagrams, IP address plans, and interface-control documents.
Design and troubleshoot routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, SATCOM, and wireless interfaces.
Lead RMF lifecycle activities and prepare SSPs, POA&Ms, and authorization evidence.
Coordinate RMF activities with system owners and security personnel.
Develop authorization strategies to enable rapid C2 integration and testing.
Maintain C2 network and cybersecurity documentation across lifecycle stages.
