Job summary

MITRE is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to support design, implementation, testing, validation, and modernization of high-quality, secure, and scalable Air Force network environments across WAN, CAN, and Gov cloud use cases. The role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and written communication to translate sponsor needs into engineering solutions.

The position mandates four on-site days per week and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years with a Master’s; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, testing, validation, and modernization of high quality, secure, resilient network environments spanning WAN and gov cloud use cases.
• Merge Air Force networks to achieve cost savings and optimization of transport.
• Translate sponsor and mission needs into practical engineering solutions.
• Familiarity with Intelligence Communities architectures and Air Force acquisition processes.
