Job summary

Sherpa 6, Inc. is seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a strong cybersecurity background to support the JIATF 401 C2 Capability Manager.

The role focuses on secure, interoperable network architectures across classified and unclassified environments, leading RMF and authorization efforts. Responsibilities include translating operational C2 requirements into secure network designs, supporting C2 integration with multiple networks, and ensuring cybersecurity compliance throughout the

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience in network engineering, C2 systems integration, cybersecurity engineering, information assurance.
• Strong experience with DoD RMF and NIST SP 800-53 security controls.
• Experience supporting ATO/IATT/IATO/reciprocity or equivalent authorization activities.
• Experience developing SSPs, POA&Ms, SARs, control implementation statements, and authorization evidence.

Responsibilities

• Develop network diagrams, data-flow and authorization-boundary diagrams, IP address plans, port and protocol matrices.
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, SATCOM, wireless, and tactical interfaces.
• Design secure architectures connecting sensors, C2 apps, data platforms, and authorized effectors.
• Support C2 integration with NIPRNet, SIPRNet, tactical networks, and Mission Partner Environments.
• Provide cybersecurity support to the C2 Capability Manager and advise on risk, interoperability, and integration readiness.
• Lead or support RMF lifecycle for C2 capabilities and related network infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain eMASS authorization packages and continuous-monitoring evidence.
• Coordinate RMF activities with system owners, ISSMs/ISSOs, and vendors.
