Job summary

Stereotaxis, Inc. in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to define the architecture of the User Interface software for our medical device platforms.

You will translate requirements into designs, implement features in C++ using Visual Studio, and ensure robust, safe software throughout the product life cycle. Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Proficient in C++ with Visual Studio, MFC and Qt environments.
• Experience with OO design, patterns, multi-threading and STL.
• Experience in medical devices is preferred; regulatory familiarity helpful.
• Understanding of OpenGL and 3D software development preferred.
• Experience with embedded systems and motion controllers beneficial.
• Familiarity with FDA regulatory pathways including IDE/510k encouraged.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture of User Interface software for complex medical devices.
• Translate customer specs into requirement specs, define architecture and details.
• Code in C++ using Microsoft Visual Studio; unit test and document features.
• Design, implement, debug, and test software in an integrated UI environment.
• Develop robust, safe software for use in medical devices.
• Research and investigate new technologies applicable to Stereotaxis products.
