Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to develop software components for ADG test systems, collaborating with domain experts to build system-level software architectures and APIs/UI. The candidate should think at the system level and adapt to NI LabVIEW and internal APIs.

The role emphasizes design, testing, and integration across Windows and Linux environments, with an Agile team and a strong focus on code quality and collaboration within the Systems R&D group.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in C++ development.
• Proficient in OO design on Windows/Linux.
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Information Science, or Computer Science.
• Experience with problem-solving and diagnosing technical issues.
• Experience with peer reviews and Git.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test software features and capabilities.
• Design and develop tools and infrastructure to improve development efficiency.
• Test, benchmark, and document customer-facing reference architectures.
• Work in an Agile team environment to prioritize work items and deliver features on-time.
• Report into daily agile standup meeting.
• Follow and refine coding guidelines and provide code reviews.
• Evaluate feature testing strategies and contribute to test plans.
