Ziehm Imaging - Orthoscan Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer to develop C++ applications on a Linux-based platform for medical devices. You will build and maintain a modern Qt GUI, emphasizing safety-critical software development and regulatory compliance (IEC 62304 / ISO 13485).

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing robust code, and participating in verification, validation, and design reviews to ensure traceability and quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in medical device or regulated environments.
• Proficient in developing C++ applications (modern C++17/20), memory management, concurrency, performance.
• Knowledge of C++17, Qt, QML, bash, python, gtest, boost, PostgreSQL; Qt in embedded/medical contexts.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and SOLID, modular, clean architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop, verify, and validate software for the C-Arm Linux platform per IEC 62304.
• Create and maintain touchscreen GUI software using Qt/QML with performance and usability focus.
• Adapt architectural patterns for maintainability and long-term scalability across platforms.
