Job summary

Fivetran in Novi Sad, Serbia, is building data pipelines for the modern data stack. We seek a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement a high-performance extract-load-transform system with a focus on C and scalable architecture.

You will join a small, talented team, collaborate across stakeholders, review PRs, and contribute to roadmap while balancing production reliability and innovation. Hybrid work combines remote and in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and implementing high-performance data systems.
• Strong understanding of C programming and system-level thinking.
• Experience with relational databases and data-intensive apps.
• Familiarity with memory management and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Learn deeply about Fivetran to drive practical system improvements.
• Contribute to development and planning of our roadmap.
• Collaborate with core team and stakeholders across disciplines.
• Work across lifecycle: requirements, design, prototype, implementation, review, release, monitoring.
• Review and approve pull requests.
• Own and improve the product.
