Job summary

Infinitesima Ltd seeks a Senior C# Software Engineer to lead software for AFM-based semiconductor inspection systems. You will design and maintain software controlling high‑precision motion, sensors, and data acquisition, shaping architecture and mentoring peers.

You’ll work with real-time control, HMI dashboards, and integrated hardware, while upholding cleanroom and safety standards in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of software development experience with C#, WPF, .NET and Windows-based apps.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation, motion control and real-time systems.
• Experience with IPC technologies such as DDS, MQTT, ZeroMQ, RabbitMQ or NamedPipes.
• Solid OO design, design patterns and SOLID principles; strong problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software for AFM-based semiconductor inspection systems using C# and .NET.
• Implement real-time control for AFM scanning, nanometer positioning and feedback loops.
• Create HMI applications for operator dashboards and inspection workflows.
• Integrate software with motion controllers, piezo actuators and high‑resolution sensors.
• Optimize performance for high-precision scanning, image processing and data analysis.
• Ensure compliance with cleanroom standards, safety protocols and industry certifications.
• Collaborate with hardware, optics and applications teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions for scalable systems.
