Job summary

Wand is hiring a Senior C++ Reverse Engineer to own the deepest layer of our native tech. You will work on the game engine SDKs for Unreal and Unity, ensuring compatibility across engine versions and enabling mods and tools that run inside running games.

You will dive into disassembly when needed, orchestrate hooking and cross-DLL systems, and influence architecture for performance and safety. This is a high-impact, senior IC role with collaboration to CTO and engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional C++, with deep experience in software you didn't have source for.
• Reading a binary is a core skill, fluent in disassembly and recognizing compiler patterns.
• Deep Windows native experience: Win32/64, DLL lifecycles, hooking, IPC, and debugging tools.

Responsibilities

• Own our game engine SDKs — Unreal and Unity, maintaining compatibility across versions.
• Dive into framework-to-engine interfaces, extend capabilities, and diagnose breakages.
• Own hooking and cross-DLL machinery, ensuring multipl mods run safely.
• Make architectural decisions balancing accuracy, latency, safety, and maintainability.
• Design SDK, scripting, and reflection surfaces used by other engineers.
• Write docs, examples, and tools to enable self-service for mod developers.
