Job summary

Finastra is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead production systems on the cloud-native lending platform. You will own design decisions, ensure performance and security, and collaborate across product, UX, and QA teams.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted development, building scalable services, and maintaining robust code while advancing enterprise-grade financial software with a focus on Azure and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• Proven professional software development experience including architecture and implementation.
• Strong proficiency in C#/.NET and Angular for full-stack development.
• Hands-on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and distributed, event-driven systems.
• Deep understanding of secure coding practices, automated testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Entity Framework Core including query optimization, change tracking, and migration management.
• Working knowledge of Azure cloud services.
• Experience in code review as both author and reviewer, with a focus on quality, security, and maintainability.
• Financial services or regulated-industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production-grade services and UI features across the lending platform.
• Own technical decisions that balance delivery speed with long-term system health and maintainability.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, background services, and event-driven integrations.
• Write clean, secure, and testable code; participate in code reviews enforcing SOLID principles, async/await correctness, and EF Core best practices.
• Collaborate closely with product management, UX design, and quality engineering from concept through delivery.
• Contribute to architectural discussions, design reviews, and technical documentation including ADRs.
• Mentor other engineers and raise the technical bar through code review and knowledge sharing.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
