Job summary

Finastra is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and evolve production systems within a cloud-native, Azure-hosted lending platform. You’ll own system health, security, and performance, while adopting AI-assisted development daily to speed delivery with engineering rigor.

Qualifications

• Proven professional software development experience including architecture and implementation.
• Strong proficiency in C#/.NET and Angular for full-stack development.
• Hands-on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and distributed, event-driven systems.
• Deep understanding of secure coding practices, automated testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with EF Core including query optimization, change tracking, and migrations.
• Working knowledge of Azure cloud services.
• Experience in code review as author and reviewer, focusing on quality and maintainability.
• Financial services or regulated-industry experience preferred.

The Senior Software Engineer designs, builds, and evolves production systems across Finastra’s lending platform—a cloud‑native, Azure‑hosted ecosystem serving lending origination, underwriting, compliance, and servicing workflows. This is a system‑ownership role: you are responsible for the quality, scalability, and operational readiness of the software you deliver, not just the code you write. AI‑assisted development is the standard way of working on this team. You will be expected to use AI tooling daily to accelerate delivery while maintaining the engineering rigor required of enterprise financial software.

Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Design and implement production‑grade services and UI features across the lending platform

Technical Environment

Back‑end: C#/.NET (ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core), .NET 10/.NET4.8, RESTful API design, WCF. Front‑end: Angular, TypeScript, Angular Material, MVC. Cloud & Infrastructure: Azure (App Service, App Insights, Redis, Azure SQL, Docker, Azure AD), Kubernetes. Data: SQL Server, LINQ, EF Core. DevOps & Tooling: CI/CD pipelines, PowerShell, Git.

Required Experience

• Demonstrated professional software development experience including both architecture and implementation
• Strong proficiency in C#/.NET and Angular for full‑stack development
• Hands‑on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and distributed, event‑driven systems
• Deep understanding of secure coding practices, automated testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Entity Framework Core including query optimization, change tracking, and migration management
• Working knowledge of Azure cloud services
• Experience in code review as both author and reviewer, with a focus on quality, security, and maintainability
• Financial services or regulated‑industry experience preferred

AI Fluency Expectations

This role requires daily, hands‑on use of AI‑assisted engineering. You are expected to:

• Use GitHub Copilot (IDE and CLI) as a default part of your development workflow
• Author and maintain structured context files (PRDs, design docs) that guide AI agents toward accurate output
• Orchestrate AI agents to generate code, scaffold tests, review pull requests, and identify defects
• Decompose complex work into planning and execution steps that AI can accelerate
• Exercise strong engineering judgment over all AI‑generated output—AI is treated as a junior collaborator whose work you guide, review, and refine
• Embed AI into project delivery to drive productivity, automate routine activities, strengthen decision quality through trusted data, and deliver continuous process improvement while applying appropriate human judgement.
