Alignerr is seeking a Senior C# Infrastructure Engineer to design and build data pipelines, annotation tooling, and evaluation systems powering AI training. This fully remote hourly contract role offers 20–40 hours per week and a chance to impact production AI systems.

You will develop high‑performance C# systems, tackle data ingestion challenges, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support model training and evaluation workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience writing production‑grade C#.
• Experience building streaming data pipelines with asynchronous streams and reactive programming.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high‑performance C# systems powering AI data pipelines and evaluation workflows.
• Develop full‑stack tooling and backend services for large‑scale data annotation, validation, and quality control.
• Improve reliability, performance, and resilience across existing C# codebases.
• Identify bottlenecks and edge cases in data and system behavior, and implement scalable fixes.
• Collaborate with data, research, and engineering teams to support model training and evaluation workflows.
• Participate in synchronous design and code reviews to iterate on system architecture and implementation decisions.
