Alignerr is seeking a senior-level C++ engineer to build and optimize high-performance data pipelines, annotation tooling, and evaluation systems for AI labs. This is a fully remote hourly contract offering 20–40 hours per week, with production-grade responsibilities and real impact.

You will design and implement scalable C++ systems, collaborating with data, research, and engineering teams to support model training and evaluation at scale.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional experience writing production-grade C++.
• Fluent English communication and collaboration across teams.
• Experience with high-performance data pipelines and evaluation workflows.
• Expert in efficient binary serialization formats.
• Experience implementing zero-copy data exchange protocols.
• Ability to commit 20–40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-performance C++ systems powering AI data pipelines and evaluation workflows.
• Develop full-stack tooling and backend services for large-scale data annotation, validation, and quality control.
• Improve reliability, performance, and safety across existing C++ codebases.
• Identify bottlenecks and edge cases in data and system behavior and implement production-grade fixes.
• Collaborate with data, research, and engineering teams to support model training and evaluation at scale.
• Participate in synchronous design reviews to iterate on architecture and implementation decisions.
