Job summary

FNBO seeks a Senior Credit Officer for the Commercial & Industrial portfolio. You will own the credit risk framework, lead risk assessment, and guide loan approvals up to $25 million, reporting to the Chief Commercial Credit Officer and serving as a voting member on the Loan Committee.

You will collaborate with policy, analytics, and line leadership to evolve underwriting standards, monitor portfolio concentration, and mentor the Credit Officer.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of commercial credit risk management experience across C&I industries.
• Proven track record of owning and managing credit guidelines and underwriting standards.
• Deep knowledge of C&I financial analysis, including cash flow modeling and leverage metrics.
• Knowledge of commercial loan P&L dynamics and related macro factors.
• Experience leading credit operations improvements and portfolio performance.
• Experience collaborating across business lines to drive sound credit decisions.
• Working knowledge of applicable commercial lending laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage credit risk of the C&I portfolio with proactive monitoring.
• Lead all credit actions for the C&I portfolio, including renewals and downgrades.
• Monitor portfolio quality and concentration; report trends to leadership and committees.
• Represent credit risk in executive and credit committee meetings.
• Guide submission of C&I loan approvals to the Loan Committee ensuring policy compliance.
• Mentor and develop the Commercial & Industrial Credit Officer and team.
