Job summary

Rockwell Automation in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to FactoryTalk Optix, a visualization platform deployed on Windows and Linux targets. You will be a key designer, implementer, and tester across the development lifecycle and collaborate with global teams.

You will mentor peers, develop detailed unit tests, align with Agile/Scrum and SAFe practices, and help advance software engineering capabilities while pursuing knowledge of new tech areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, contribute to and document requirements for a feature and its components.
• Develop new subsystem designs or contribute to existing ones to meet requirements.
• Implement and document code that meets the software design.
• Develop and execute unit test plans and analyze anomalies.
• Participate in reviews of documents, designs, code, test cases and user documentation.
• Estimate, plan, develop, and execute test suites and automation.
• Ensure documented test cases validate software requirements.
• Perform product testing and report results for follow-up.
• Mentor other engineers on the team.
