Job summary

Swift in Virginia is seeking a Senior C++ Software Developer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain high‑performance FINTECH applications and distributed systems. You will work with gRPC, RESTful APIs, and modern container tech to enable scalable, secure transaction processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/IS or related field.
• 5–10 years hands-on C++ experience (C++11/14/17).
• Strong OO design, data structures, algorithms and design patterns.
• Experience with multithreading, memory management and high-throughput apps.
• Proficient in Oracle SQL/PL-SQL and performance tuning.
• Experience with gRPC, RESTful APIs, microservices.
• Proficient in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Linux tooling.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Podman, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable FINTECH applications in C++.
• Implement secure, high-performance code with low latency.
• Develop services using gRPC and RESTful APIs; build microservices.
• Work with Docker, Podman, Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
• Tune databases and queries for Oracle or other RDBMS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver releases.
• Produce technical documentation, reviews, and runbooks.
