Job summary

Ensono is seeking an Expert C++ Software Engineer with 10+ years of hands‑on production experience to design, develop and maintain high‑performance C++ systems in a remote US setting. You will lead architectural decisions, mentor peers, and drive best practices across the software lifecycle.

You will own complex components, optimize memory usage, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and containerization with Docker in a Linux environment. Strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Expert understanding of dynamic memory allocation, RAII, smart pointers (unique_ptr, shared_ptr, weak_ptr)
• Experience diagnosing memory leaks, dangling pointers, and buffer overflows
• Strong command of the C++ threading model (std::thread, std::mutex, std::atomic, std::condition_variable)
• Experience with lock‑free and wait‑free programming patterns
• Proficiency with Docker for containerised development and deployment environments
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain high‑performance C++ applications
• Lead architectural decisions, mentor peers, and enforce coding standards
• Design and maintain build systems with CMake and multi‑platform configurations
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Docker workflows
• Collaborate in a Linux‑based development environment and interact with SQL data as needed
• Contribute to system design discussions and effort estimation
