Job summary

Sidram Tech is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer - C++ to join our client engagement team on a 3-month contract. This remote role requires 3+ years of production C++ and backend development, with containerized microservices and distributed systems, and a 4-hour overlap with PST.

You will work with engineering leads, product managers, and remote squads to design, implement, test, and optimize high-performance software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of professional software engineering and software development experience.
• Strong technical proficiency and hands-on C++ development expertise in production environments.
• Solid operational knowledge of Git and GitHub for source code version control and collaborative development.
• Practical hands-on experience building, containerizing, and deploying applications utilizing Docker.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment with a mandatory 4-hour PST daily overlap.
• Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities and immediate professional availability for a 3-month contract engagement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance C++ software applications, libraries, and backend systems.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and robust C++ code adhering to modern programming standards and design patterns.
• Manage source code versioning, branch management, pull request reviews, and collaboration workflows utilizing Git and GitHub.
• Containerize applications, manage container images, and configure reproducible deployment environments utilizing Docker.
• Collaborate proactively with remote engineering squads, technical leads, and product owners across distributed time zones.
• Maintain a mandatory 4-hour daily overlap with Pacific Standard Time (PST) for synchronous communication and agile standups.
• Perform rigorous debugging, profiling, and performance optimization to minimize memory leaks and reduce latency.
• Participate in peer code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical backlog grooming sessions.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, API specifications, and software architecture diagrams.
• Ensure strict adherence to project timelines, quality assurance benchmarks, and immediate start requirements.
