Job summary

Atrium, a global financial services firm, is seeking a Senior C++ Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable real-time trading applications in Unix/Linux environments.

This hands-on role owns features from design to delivery, works with architects, QA, and other tech teams, and mentors junior engineers to ensure quality and security. Experience with Oracle/PostgreSQL, Protobuf, Solace, and low-latency event-driven systems is ideal.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience with C/C++ in Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Protobuf/Solace or similar.
• Experience with real-time/event-driven processing and CI/CD practices.
• Solid understanding of software design, secure coding, debugging, and Agile teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable C/C++ software solutions.
• Build and enhance real-time trading applications.
• Own features from design through implementation and delivery.
• Develop real-time and event-driven components.
• Collaborate with Architects and Principal Engineers on technical decisions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes.
• Troubleshoot production, performance, and security issues.
• Mentor and support Junior Engineers.
• Ensure solutions meet security, risk management, and regulatory standards.
