Job summary

Atrium Staffing seeks a Senior C++ Engineer for a global financial services client in the NYC area. The role focuses on real-time and event-driven trading systems using C/C++ in Unix/Linux, with ownership from design to delivery and collaboration with architects, QA, and other teams.

Applicants should have strong C/C++ skills, experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL, and familiarity with messaging technologies. The position requires local NYC access and offers substantial bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Strong C/C++ development experience in Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with messaging like Solace or Protocol Buffers.
• Real-time/event-driven processing and debugging skills.
• Experience in Agile teams and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable C/C++ software for real-time trading.
• Own features from design through delivery and participate in code reviews.
• Build and support real-time and event-driven applications.
• Collaborate with Architects, QA, and other tech teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure security and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and production troubleshooting.
