Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in the United States is seeking a senior C++/ML engineer to design, develop, and optimize real-time software for autonomous systems, including ROS2 nodes and perception pipelines.

You will build a high-performance computer vision stack, implement hybrid CPU/CUDA solutions, contribute to scalable data pipelines, ML deployment, and perform field testing and validation to ensure robustness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Robotics/ML or related field.
• At least 5 years of professional C++ in real-time systems.
• At least 5 years in ML Engineering/Computer Vision or production ML deployment.
• At least 3 years in Data Engineering or scalable data pipelines.
• Strong C++ expertise, ROS2, performance optimization, CV knowledge.
• Experience with CUDA, GPU, MLOps, and TensorRT/ONNX is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance C++ software for real-time autonomous systems, including ROS2 nodes and pipelines.
• Design and implement a robust computer vision stack with classical techniques and hybrid CPU/CUDA processing.
• Support ML model integration by developing efficient inference pipelines and contributing to deployment, training, and validation workflows.
• Contribute to scalable data pipelines and overall autonomous vehicle software architecture (SOTIF considerations) and participate in field testing and validation activities.
