Job summary

Fortem Technologies, Inc. in Lindon, Utah seeks a Senior Software Engineer (C++) to lead the integration of third-party sensors and mitigation systems into the SkyDome Family of Systems.

You will design robust C++ software (C++17+) connecting radar, EO/IR, acoustic sensors, and mitigators to the command-and-control platform, enabling rapid onboarding of technology alongside Fortem’s TrueView sensors and DroneHunter interceptors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional C++ development with C++17+.
• Experience integrating third-party hardware/sensors via serial, Ethernet, or custom protocols.
• Strong multi-threaded, real-time and networked systems programming.
• Experience Linux-based development; familiarity with Git and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement C++ software to integrate third-party sensors and mitigators into SkyDome.
• Develop driver interfaces, SDKs, and protocol adapters for new integrations.
• Collaborate with hardware and systems teams to define integration requirements.
• Build automated test harnesses for data fidelity and performance.
• Debug and resolve real-time data processing across distributed sensor networks.
• Participate in design/code reviews and support field testing.
