Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of modern C++ (C++11/14/17/20) development experience.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, memory management, RAII, smart pointers, multithreading and concurrency, STL, and exception safety.
• Experience developing software on Linux platforms.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience designing large-scale, maintainable software architectures.
• Experience leading technical projects from design through production.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance production software using modern C++.
• Architect and implement complex software for robotics, storage systems, and hardware control.
• Design scalable, maintainable software using OO design principles and patterns.
• Develop software for Linux-based enterprise storage platforms.
• Drive technical direction and influence architectural decisions across multiple products.
• Mentor junior engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and coaching.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Firmware, Hardware Engineering, Test Engineering, and Customer Support.
• Improve software quality via automated testing, code reviews, refactoring, and best practices.
• Lead root cause analysis of complex customer issues and drive corrective actions.
• Champion software quality, maintainability, and performance across the org.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies, tools, and engineering practices.
