Job summary

Spectra, located in Boulder, CO, seeks a senior firmware engineering leader to direct a team responsible for firmware used in tape libraries. You will oversee development, maintenance, and testing while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

The role requires strong C/C++ expertise and experience with Windows CE or embedded Linux in a hybrid work environment. Ideal candidates have 10+ years of industry experience and a BS in CS, with excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate

Qualifications

Bachelors of Science degree in computer science or related field.
10+ years of proven industry experience developing production quality software.
Experience with firmware development and either Windows CE or embedded Linux environments.

Responsibilities

Direct a team of software engineers in firmware development, maintenance, and testing.
Ensure code quality, customer usability, and timely delivery within budget.
Provide clear direction, coordinate with product testing and release teams, and mentor staff.
