Job summary

Roblox in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Client Systems (C++) to join the Luau App Foundations team. You will be the primary C++ expert, building libraries and modules inside Roblox's world-class engine and bridging frontend concepts with the core platform.

You will work with Engineering, Product, and Design to expand frontend ecosystems, tackle cross-cutting performance issues, and ship high-quality, scalable solutions for millions of daily users on mobile and PC.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with system or mobile programming.
• Strong C++ programming skills; Lua experience is a plus.
• Passion for building frameworks and libraries with high-quality design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary C++ expert and drive frontend C++ strategy for extending our interface layer.
• Work with stakeholders across Engineering, Product, and Design to expand frontend ecosystems and drive technical enhancements in engineering space.
• Implement innovative solutions to feature requests and collaborate with the Roblox Surface owners on new initiatives.
• Have fun working with our internal team members and community developers to improve the overall state of Lua App on Roblox
