Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Senior C++ Engineer to design and build high-performance data pipelines, annotation tooling, and evaluation systems used by leading AI labs.

This fully remote hourly contract offers 20–40 hours per week, with a strong emphasis on scalable, production-ready C++ code and collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams. You will optimize existing systems and shape infrastructure powering advanced AI models.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of production-grade C++ experience.
• Strong background in systems programming and full-stack tooling.
• Experience with binary serialization formats.
• Experience implementing zero-copy data exchange.
• Ability to work remotely 20–40 hours per week and self-direct.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance C++ systems for AI data pipelines.
• Develop backend services for data annotation, validation, and quality control.
• Improve reliability, performance, and safety of C++ codebases.
• Collaborate with data, research, and engineering teams to support training workflows.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable fixes.
• Participate in design reviews to refine architecture.
